Bimini Moose Scrapbook Challenges Coming Back Soon!

In 2014, I created a scrapbook challenge site called Bimini Moose. It ran for a little while, and then life happened, and I decided to put the challenges on hold indefinitely.

On June 1st, Bimini Moose Scrapbook Challenges is BACK!

Since the blog was so old, there were a lot of broken images and links in the past posts. Because of that, I ended up deleting all of the past posts, but left the blog name the same, and the followers are still there. Basically, we are starting fresh all over again.

I would LOVE it if you guys would hop over to Bimini Moose and become a Follower, and bookmark the site.

Our first challenge is June 1st. Challenges will run monthly, and always be for Scrapbook Layouts with an optional theme. (No digital layouts.)

Let's get scrapping!

Dad Is Rad - Close To My Heart NEW Workshop Bundle (available for a limited time)

Who loves Scrapbooking and Cardmaking as much as I do?!

Available for a limited time - thru June 30th or while supplies last.
(details below are copy and pasted for the CTMH online store)

DAD IS RAD

Exclusive Product Offering

To celebrate the dads in your life, the Dad Is Rad exclusive product offering features the limited Rad Dad stamp set, and discounted Dad is Rad Workshop Bundle. The products in this workshop include the stamp set and other items to create one 12" x 12" layout, one
12" x 12" page, and four cards that can be used for Father's Day, or to share with all the "rad" people you love!

Close To My Heart workshops have the BEST kits for scrapbooking and card making. They make is so easy to create beautiful, amazing projects. I'll be sharing the scrapbook layouts and the cards I create with this kit hopefully next week. My order should early next week, and I hope to dig in and start creating right away.

You can use this kit for any occasion in your scrapbook. If your dad is deceased, like mine, you can use these as memorial pages. I'm thinking about doing that with photos of him. Or you can make these pages for your husband (the father of your children.) Or you can use these pages for your son or Son-in-law (the father of your grandchildren). Of course you can always use a different stamp set and use these same layouts for Senior photos, School Year Pictures, Boy Scouts, anything! Follow the workshop instruction guide exactly, or transform it into something of your own.

Thanks for visiting with me today.
Hugs!
:) Janis

Flowers Box Card

Oh my gosh.
So you guys know I love Anna Griffin everything.
Recently, she has come out with a new Cricut cartridge called Window Box Cards.
(I got it from HSN.) I just received it yesterday along with some of her 12x12 gorgeous pattern papers. I love box cards, but I love this new cartridge that makes them even more because she has included print and cuts, and everything you need to make gorgeous box cards. Get ready. You are going to be seeing a lot of these for a while. :)

I cut out the print and cut flowers onto Ivory cardstock. I normally would use white, but I saw her mention this in a video to help coordinate with her pattern papers, and thought what a wonderful idea. It never would have occurred to me to use ivory cardstock for print and cuts.

I took several pictures because I can never decide the best way to photograph these.

Thanks for visiting with me today.
Have a fabulous day, everyone.

Anchor Treat Box

Anchor Treat Box, Silhouette Cut file
Stampin' Up Chevron Embossing Folder
The cut file came with tiny red strips for the life preserver.
You know I hate tiny pieces to glue together,
so I just colored red where the strips would have gone.
I think that worked out just fine.
Have a great day, everyone.
Thanks for visiting with me today.

Sunday Ramblings

I hope everyone had a great Sunday today.
Today is Mother's Day, but it also would have been my dad's 77th birthday if he had not passed away in January this year. My bother and sister-in-law sent me a Peace Lily plan when he died. I can't tell you how much that touched my heart. It was so unexpected and filled me with love.

I know nothing about plants and flowers except that I love looking at them. I hope this one will endure my ignorance and stay around for a very long time.

Also today, I saw something horrible on the way home from the grocery store. I don't want to tell you about it, just know it involved a busy highway and several people trying to capture a loose dog. I cried all the way home, and felt terrible for those involved.

I came home, told my husband about it, who immediately was angry because the owner should have had a leash on that sweet dog, but talking about it with Tom did make me feel a little better. Of course I was sure to give my fur babies lots of hugs and kisses after that. Not that that is anything different. I do that all day long every day. LOL I told my husband yesterday that if me and our Pit Bull, Mary Ann, die at the same time, she is welcome to sleep with me in the coffin or share my cremation jar, whatever he decides to do with me. He gave me a really strange look. LOL So I said, "Just sayin'."

I hung out with my husband for a little bit in the garage where he was installing a roll bar and race seat belts in his Corvette. Then I came inside and made some stationary to write a little note to a friend to be included in a package I'm sending her. This is actually stamped on Cream cardstock, but the camera didn't pick that up.

I used my favorite stamp set in the world, Stampin' Up's Summer Silhouettes.
Inks are also SU: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Lemon Lime Twist.

Have a wonderful evening.
Hope you'll visit me again tomorrow.
Hugs,
Janis

P.S. My friend, Amy, and I have taken over running the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge blog. I would love it if you guys would come play with us! There is a new challenge every Monday and somewhere on your project you must use a Cricut cut or Cricut print and cut image. But you can incorporate other cuts and things into your project as well.

Trains

Hi, everyone!
This month I am honored to be the Guest Designer each Saturday

Theme this week: Trains

If you would like to make this layout, CLICK HERE for the cut file in Cricut Design Space.

Cricut cartridges:
Train and ChooChoo Cloud - Beep, Beep
Font - Close To My Heart, Artistry
Banner - Something to Celebrate

For the title, I added each letter to each banner piece and used the SLICE feature. This allowed the letter to be cut out of the top banner layer showing the color of the mat below it. Much easier than gluing on letters. :) Wish I had thought of this with other things I've created.

I ran a lot of the small pieces through the Xyron. This is much easier and less messy for me. Seems like every time I get my 2-way glue pen out or liquid glue, I end up with sticky fingers and a sticky pen or bottle. LOL

The background ombre paper is from an old stash of 12x12 papers.
MFT Stitched banner die for "Awaits."

Hope you'll come play in the challenge this week!
Thanks for visiting with me today.
Enjoy your weekend.
