Ink Storage

There are so many cool SVG cuts out there!
I love shopping at the Silhouette Online Store
because they have a variety of styles and sources
for the cuts they carry.

Today's project is for organizing your inks.
There is a tutorial for building this cut
at Bits of Paper HERE.

I'm using Silhouette Online Store
ID# 45604.

  • This takes at least 5 pieces of 12x12 cardstock (with leftovers) for this project to make a storage drawer with slots for 4 large ink pads such as Stampin' Up ink.
  • Pattern papers from K&Co.

Thanks so much for stopping by today
to see what I'm up to.
Enjoy your weekend.

Birdhouse

Hi, Crafters!

Today's project is a great cut and fold.
No glue required on this one.
Everything slips into slots to adhere.
However, I did add a little glue to the roof
just so it wouldn't fall off when moving my
project around.

I used Silhouette Online Store ID# 8567.

Instead of cutting out the roll paper for this project that came with the cut, instead I used the Washi Tape metal die from My Craft Spot and rolled it. I used the same ivory paper as I did for the birdhouse base, but turned it over and inked the other side with Stampin' Up Perfect Plum ink.

I used the same technique for the flowers.
Same ivory paper as the birdhouse base.
Turned it over.
Inked the other side with SU Perfect Plum ink.
Pressed out the dies with my Cuttlebug.
Rolled.
Added flowers to the bottom corner of the birdhouse base.

Love it!
Especially loved the tabs that slid into a slot
to bring it all together without any glue.

  • Stampin' Up Perfect Plum ink
  • Hobby Lobby "Rue de Fleur" textured cardstock paper pack

My card design was inspired by one of
Cardz TV.

Here are the files I used:

Hi, crafters!

It's time for a shaped card today.
I decided to make a baby card.

Easy Peasy

  • Paper Smoochies "Chubby Chums" stamps for sentiment
  • Everything inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain

Lighthouse Card

Hi, crafters!
My Creative Time has a fun color challenge
going on right now.

I thought I'd play along!

I picked out a Lighthouse cut from the
Silhouette Online Store ID# 10166.

Added some inking around all the
pieces and parts with various colors of ink.

My Creative Time supplies:
Stitched Round Tab Arrow & Tag Dies
You're Brilliant (sentiment)
Stitched Grass

I could have added the ocean back there behind the grass,
but I was really trying to keep this one
a Clean and Simple card.

I popped up the tag with foam squares (Royal Castle Shoppe).
Twine from stash.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
:) Janis

Relax... and Enjoy your Day

Hi, crafters!

Hope you are having a fun week so far.

We are thinking about getting some baby chickens.
We've talked about doing this for a few years,
but seems like there are always
other things that come up preventing
us from getting started.

I'll post some pics if we end up
building a chicken coop
and stocking it with egg makers. :)

My card today was so fun!
I was a little intimidated by the bike cuts
I've seen out there.
When I saw this bike cut in the
Silhouette Online Store,
I thought it was perfect.
You can make it as simple as you like,
or add many layers as you like.

Cool, huh?

  • Bike - Silhouette Online Store Id# 44933
  • My Creative Time:
    • Stitched Grass metal die
    • Stitched Bracket metail die
  • Sun - Miss Kate Cuttables
  • Rhinestones added to flower centers and bike tires
  • Cardz TV Stamps "A Day at the Beach"

What a Wonderful World

Hi, Crafters!
Thought it would be to throw in a shaped card for today.

The cut file I used is from the
Silhouette Online Store ID# 59698
This is a Lori Whitlock shaped card file.

Here's my camper card!

  • Camper pattern paper from Ki (Walmart)
  • Banner & window curtain papers are from scraps
  • Edges of everything inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain

  • Miss Kate Cuttables "corner tree"
  • Edges inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain
  • Sentiment from K. Andrews (no longer in business)

The inside mat was actually created by me
in the Silhouette software.
It's not part of the
Lori Whitlock Camper cut file.

What a fun and easy card to create.

Thanks for stopping by today
to see what I'm up to.
