What's Up Doc? ...PDE & PPT Ch#9

The card cut is from the Silhouette Online Store using one of Lori Whitlocks' designs - her Center Step Card.

The Cameo was able to do everything for this card with ease. The cut file came with the card cut, the panel decorative paper cuts sized to fit, and the center frame with shadow cuts.
  • Cameo project
  • Print and Cut feature used for Peter Rabbit (I love Peter Rabbit!)
  • Peter Rabbit is popped up on two thicknesses of foam tape for dimension
  • Frame for Peter Rabbit is embossed with a folder my friend, Lynn, sent me for the Cuttlebug
  • Green pattern papers from Ki "Fancy Free" paper pad
  • Green pattern papers inked around the edges using Close To My Heart "Topiary" ink. The sentiment label and embossed frame is also inked with "Topiary."
  • Cardz TV Stamps "Easter Punnies" for sentiment stamp
  • Card base uses BoBunny "Natural Necessities" burnt orange
  • Frame shadow and sentiment both inked with Close to My Heart "Sunset" ink.
  • Stampin' Up "Modern Label" punch used for sentiment and layering.
I thought about adding some flowers or buttons but decided I liked the look of this card just like it is.  Thanks for stopping by today, guys! I hope you'll have time to go enter my challenges. Good luck on the prize drawings! :) Janis

Our daughter, Kati, had all four of her wisdom teeth removed last Friday. Poor darlin'. Bonnie and I picked her up in the morning and took her to her appointment and then stayed with her at her house the rest of the day until her boyfriend got off work and could come over and sit with her. I wanted to make my sweetie a get well card. For some reason I wanted to use an elephant and a tooth. Yes, that's how my mind works. :)

Felicity's Be A Blessing Blog Hop!!
Isn't she just a cutie?!
Welcome to our Felicity's Be A Blessing Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from:
Lisa @ Bit By The Cricut Bug
If not, start at the beginning at:
Shawnee @ Blessed on the Bright Side

I've got BLOG CANDY at the end of this post and a list of the entire blog hop line up in case any of you guys get lost along the way. So be sure to check it out!

Today we are celebrating a very special little girl's first birthday. She has had a difficult fight this past year and we felt what better way to celebrate her life than have a blog hop!
Felicity has touched many lives even though she is not even one yet. Every day she makes therapists, doctors, and even her family smile.

This is the BLOG CANDY that
Shawnee (the beginning of this hop) is offering.
(See my blog candy at the end of this post.)
One paper pack and April Showers Cricut Cartridge.

There are two ways to earn blog candy
1. Leave a comment on each blog
2. Go back to Shawnee's blog hop post and post how you blessed someone else with a link.
3. Tweet/Facebook about the blog hop

Our blog hop today is all about being a blessing to someone or showing appreciation to someone who has been a blessing to us.

Here is my Mama and Daddy on April 10th of this year on Mama's 72nd birthday.

My project for this hop is a Scripture card I made for my Mama who turned 72 years old this month.  She is so encouraging to me always ooooo-ing and ahhhh-ing over things I create. And not just me either. She has also framed pictures, drawings, paintings, cross-stitch and needlepoint others have given her too. Take a look at some of the things she has framed and displayed from creations people have given her....

The above drawing is a picture our daughter, Kati, drew for Mama.

The above table displays one of the very first cards I ever made in 2009 using my brand new Cricut Expression and one of the Solution cartridges that came with it.

The above is one of the paintings I created. I have a whole stack of them, and she asked if she could have one. I was totally surprised when she had it framed and put on her wall.

Mama is very good to me, and to all of us. She is also supportive and encouraging. She is such a blessing.

So today I decided to show you a card I made for her. She loves butterflies so I added a 3D one to the card popped up on foam tape. I had to use some blue and purple in the stamping background since they are my favorite colors. The inspiration for this card came from a post by THE STAMPERS CHEF.

  • Card base is white cardstock from Office Depot 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Black image matting 2 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Image background created by sponging different inks for the background then stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on top of the background sponged ink.
  • Background colors are all Close To My Heart Inks (from bottom to top): Pear, Lagoon, Gypsy, and Honey
  • Flower image is from Stampin' Up "Serene Silhouettes"
  • Cardz TV Stamps "Rejoice" used for Scripture stamp inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • 3D butterfly from Recollections adhered with foam tape
